Those who currently receive support from one of the Ettijahat programs are not eligible to apply. Support/grant recipients whose Ettijahat support/grant ended before the beginning of 2023 are also eligible to apply.
Applications are open to all age groups.
The program accepts applications from all artists who have official residency in one of the European countries and who are active and producing their artistic works within it. If the artist has not yet obtained his permanent residency, he/she can apply for any touring activities within the country of residence.
Applications are open to artists from all Arab countries who have moved to Europe since 2015. Priority is given to artists who have moved from the following countries: Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Sudan, and Libya.
All artists who hold the nationality of one of the Arab countries, including stateless residents, who lived part of their lives in these countries, and were forced to leave them to go to one of the European countries since 2015.
All artists from the Arab region who have moved to reside in Europe since 2015 are eligible to apply, regardless of their ethnicity.
Ettijahat – Independent Culture strives in its work to be in constant exchange with the needs of the Syrian arts and culture sector, its diaspora, and beyond with the Arab Levant region. This is done through support and empowerment frameworks that meet these different needs and improve the interaction of this sector with public life. Ettijahat periodically publishes open calls for the organisation’s different areas of work, targeting individuals, groups and artistic entities and institutions. We treat the data of all applicants with great care and ensure confidentiality and privacy.
